Summer 2005, Portland-town

There was much fun had while the Bear was with us in Portland. We explored together.
There was biking and hiking and Farmer's Market days, Oh My!
Jordan's favorite spot of all may have been the Ira Keller Fountain.

We planted a garden, joined OMSI and played a lot of Magic the Gathering.
(We re-addicted friend Ariel to the Game)
Fredda and Gigi (Martha) were out West to see us! Bill and Ellen came up for a visit latter in the summer (pictures to come soon).
When Lou and Amanda came, we all went to the Japanese Gardens and the Rose Garden as well.

Jordan Bear attended a number of summer camps including rock-climbing (enjoyed it so much we got him his own gear),
Animal Investigators at the Oregon Zoo and Camp Paw Paw at the Humane Society of the Willamette Valley where Jen works.
Jordan also came as a subcontractor or sorts to help Jen at work a number of days.
His duties ranged from cleaning kennel (uck) to helping with behavioral assessments.
He had his first two jobs this summer. One as a paid author (through Fredda) and the one as a kennel assistant.

We also won the Frisbee Dog Contest at The Tualatin Crawfish Festival!

 

So when the summer ended Jordan headed back south to the Bay Area and his Dad's place. He'll be up visiting when he can. We'll keep in touch through letters, email and the telephone. Shelby continues to work as a legal assistant till the Oregon Bar comes back around and Jen shifts around at the animal shelter, looking to find her place there.

We are happy to host guests to the City of the Roses as we maintain an extra room for just this reason!
