As I was warned, it is impossible to believe that a year has gone by-that this small person came to be with us four seasons, so many long nights, far miles, and amazing moments ago...He walks and he runs. He knows slides and rolls down hills laughing. He is a giver of hugs and an unfolder of laundry. A little gorilla foot (size 6 1/2 wide!!!) and my corby child. His spirit and will astound me daily. He is so beautiful and free and yet so very needy. I watch him smile in his sleep or I’m his partner in a stomping baby dance and, for a while, I can imagine there is nothing wrong with the world.

Not an easy child or an easy year-but I would trade or change neither for anything.
